Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. DiFranco has released more than 20 albums. Ani Difranco has been widely recognized as an icon of feminist music. In the year 1990 she was one of the first artists to create her own label independently. DiFranco's parents were Elizabeth (Ross), a previous student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Dante Americo DiFranco met each other while they were each attending. Her mother was born in Montreal and her father has Italian origins. Her song 32 Flavors, was composed by her, and performed by Ani. This song appears on her album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995. The song was featured in the soundtrack of the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. In 2013, DiFranco apologized after it was announced that she was hosting the three-day event in an old Louisiana slave plantation. The course was later cancelled however, she did not express any regret. DiFranco offered a second apology a few days later. While she's best known as Little Folksinger.
